David Miller Award Information

Funds for Three Important Aspects of The Forum

David Miller Award

Thanks to the generous contribution of The Alex and Doris Malaspina Funds, the David Miller Awards Program supports three important aspects of The Forum's activities. These include having premier speakers present at The Forum meetings, increasing networking opportunities for meeting attendees, and increasing the pipeline of scientists who value enhancing knowledge through dialogue.

The David Miller Scholar Session Award will support the travel expenses for speakers to present at the Winter and Summer Meetings. The Program Committee will select the David Miller Scholar primary presenter and two to three additional speakers to present on a topic of emerging interest (both toxicological in nature or from allied fields of science and science policy) to Toxicology Forum meeting attendees.

The David Miller Speaker Travel Funds are used to support speaker travel to Forum meetings with the intent of enhancing the scientific program content for proposals accepted by the Program Committee. One of the goals of this award program is to increase international involvement in The Forum’s meetings. In distinction between the aforementioned Session Award, these Speaker Travel Funds may be used to support speaker travel in any session accepted for the Winter or Summer Meetings.

The David Miller Emerging Investigator Travel Award’s objective is to increase the pipeline of scientists who value dialogue as a method for building a better understanding. See the separate awards page for details.
