Submit a session proposal for the 2026 Winter Meeting of The Toxicology Forum

The 2026 Winter Meeting

  1. Please develop and plan your proposal ahead of time using the "Sample Proposal" as a guide. You may use the session proposal form to submit your session.
  2. Please view the session proposal criteria and session structure information before submitting.

  3. The session submission deadline is October 15, 2025.

  • The proposal is complete with a clarity of purpose and clearly stated objectives with a specific focus and message.
  • The session should be toxicology-relevant and very novel. Sessions should cover new areas of dialogue, concepts, or data.
  • Timeliness of the topic and how recently it has been presented at a Forum meeting will be a consideration.
  • Speaker presentations should either build upon each other, contrast respective views, or otherwise contribute to the overall theme of the proposal. Please include a brief overview of the purpose of each presentation when it is not otherwise apparent what the presentation will cover.
  • All presenters are confirmed or have given a commitment to speak in person at the meeting.
  • The proposal should stand out to each review committee member so that they can easily determine the significance of the topic, the relationship of each talk to the topic and the inter-relationship of the talks to one another.
  • Sessions should be balanced in the perspective and representation of presenters: (Well-intended controversy and dialogue is welcome. Ways to ensure and generate dialogue is requested when balance of perspective is not readily apparent.)
    • Sessions that readily encourage dialogue and understanding among sectors may not necessarily need to meet the “Balance” criteria of perspectives, (e.g., sessions on updates/revisions/future of regulatory policies and guidelines, etc.)
    • When appropriate, avoid speakers from the same institution, and be cognizant of the number of speakers from the same job sector.
  • An individual cannot be a chair for more than one proposal but may serve as a co-chair for a second proposal. Individuals also may not participate as a co-chair in more than one session. Finally, chairs and co-chairs may serve as presenters in their own session(s), and as a presenter in one additional session.
  • Individuals may participate in multiple proposals if they are on panel discussions only (versus being presenters.)

Meetings/Sessions of The Toxicology Forum emphasize the opportunities for dialogue and discussion among speakers and attendees to advance the ideas being presented and to build consensus. Sessions should address questions relating to the real world applicability or regulatory impact of their topic. Session proposals should allow adequate time for both a panel discussion (30–40 minutes at the end of each session) and for questions for the presenter (approximately 5 minutes per presentation) Proposals should be as complete as possible in order to be competitive.

 

All scientific programming at meetings of The Toxicology Forum is scheduled without competition so all meeting attendees are able to engage in your session.

Your opportunity to present on current and controversial issues in need of feedback.

Engage with regulators and a diverse cohort of toxicologists to both inform and grow from sustained dialogue generated by your session.

The scientific programs of the Summer and Winter Toxicology Forum Meetings are solicited and reviewed by the Planning Committee (PC). The PC guides the development of the scientific program to ensure a robust and impactful meeting that often covers controversial topics. In order to ensure best practices in the development of submitted and tentatively accepted scientific sessions the PC operates under the evergreen guidance generated by the Toxicology Forum Board of Directors.
